India RP Rules

All roleplay must be two or more lines of text at minimum and must be of sufficient quality to satisfy the council.

Roleplay may take many acceptable forms but the most common are character and nation roleplay. The former involves extended dialogue and actions from individuals in either first or third person perspective. The latter involves actions taken by a state or organisation. Roleplay may take place in any tense, for example:

Past: Leader bought 200 tanks from nation.
Present: Leader buys 200 tanks from nation.
Future: Leader will buy 200 tanks from nation on Saturday, January 1.

Future tense roleplay must include a specific time to keep it definite.

Telegram or Discord roleplay will not be counted as valid. Decisions made over telegram or Discord must be recorded in a dispatch or on the RMB.

Treaties are invalid if they do not contain a date of execution, specific terms, and the assent of all parties involved. Sales are invalid if they do not contain a date of execution, items sold, purchase price, and the assent of all parties involved. Treaties and sales will not apply to a new claimant on land from which a previous nation was removed for inactivity.

The Regional Message Board will be exclusively used for roleplay purposes. Therefore, all OOC messages on the RMB must be marked as such with // or OOC: or some similar tag, and only some OOC messages will be allowed at a time. Posts that do not comply with this rule will be suppressed.

Certain topics are not allowed in roleplay or OOC. These include mass killing, rape (as a war crime or otherwise), sex and sexuality, and other topics at the discretion of the RP moderators.

You must be a citizen of India to be included in the map, to become a regional citizen please read here.

If the land you want is already claimed, you can still apply for that land. If the nation who originally owns the land leaves the RP or CTE's, it will be provided to you - this may take time. If the land you want is owned on the map by another, it does not exclude you from RP.

This map is designed for countries active in RP, countries on the map which are not part of RP will be removed to allow other countries access.

1. All unclaimed land shall be considered NPC nations following IRL borders.
2. Unclaimed land follows special war role play rules:
- You can annex 1/10 of an NPC's land after a war IF you border their provinces to begin with.
- Any nation can invade them, but, if you're a democracy, you can only lose 500 men maximum, otherwise your nations people will force you to withdraw through protests and voting, etc.
- A nation not a democracy can only lose 10,000 men maximum, otherwise their army will be considered an international embarrassment.
- Nations will be tracked for war crimes, you cannot just nuke a city, too many war crimes and your troops will get severe penalties to combat - where you could lose many men and face the above.
- Nations will take time to deploy troops (if they wish) to reach these lands, so you cannot simply inavde today, you will need to tranport troops from your nation to the coast of the NPCs.
- Nations can support NPC's too against a potential rival.
3. All nations may form NPCs such as sports federations, corporations, governmental bodies, NGOs, religious bodies, cartels, etc. but these may not control land nor soldiers in their own right.
4. Countries with a compelling role play reason may create mercenary companies, corporation, criminal outfits, political parties, and similar groups that may control both land and soldiers, but these will be limited in size and number by the role play council.
All RP posts must be written in English, or provide an English translation to accompany parts of an RMB message written in another language.
Three international bodies are controlled by the Roleplay Council.
The Security Council of the World Assembly will have 5 staff nations and a rotating body of 5 nonstaff nations. The Security Council will pass legislation binding upon all nations and settle disputes between nations through the principle of arbitration.
The World Investment Bank will provide loans to nations that need help with development.
The World Court will entertain civil cases between nations and prosecute war criminals and criminals against humanity (individuals, not nations).
