National Holidays of Schilra

The following days are national holidays in which all government offices are closed except those that are essential to public safety or health, every government employee will be paid for the holiday, and employees who are not working for the government of Schilra, required to work on the legal holiday, may receive holiday pay for that day in addition to their ordinary wages. If a day-long holiday falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, the next working day shall be considered a holiday.

January 1: Urte Berri Eguna (New Year's Day)

January 6: Epifania (Epiphany)

First Sunday after the First Spring Full Moon: Pazkoa (Easter)

April 30: Ereserkiaren Eguna (Anthem Day, commemorates the day when the Diet proclaimed Gernikako Arbola as official national anthem)

May 1: Langileen Nazioarteko Eguna (International Workers' Day)

June 29: Emakumeen Borroka Berdintasun Eguna (Women's Fight for Equality Day)

June 30: Bandera Eguna (Flag Day, commemorates the day when the Diet proclaimed the official national flag)

August 30: Indar Armatuen Eguna (Armed Forces Day)

August 31: Errepublika Eguna (Republic Day, commemorates the day when the Most Serene Republic of Schilra was founded)

September 1: Askapen Eguna (Liberation Day, commemorates the day when the long-lasting fascist dictatorship was removed after mass demonstrations for democracy)

November 1: Santu Guztien Eguna (All Saints' Day)

November 2: Hildakoen Oroitzapena (Commemoration of the Deads)

November 3: Soldadu Ezezagunaren eta Eroritako Heroien Eguna (Day of the Unknown Soldier and the Fallen Heroes)

December 25: Gabonak (Christmas)

December 26: Martirien Eguna (Martyrs Day)
