Ergyngic Naval Convoy Arrives in Santa Adela - Ergyng Information Network

It has been 5 days since the Santa Adelan Defence Treaty was signed by the Tywysog and Chancellor Bouwman of Thalcelia, and construction of the Ergyngic bases have made significant progress in this short amount of time. Over the past few days transport aircraft have been hauling personnel and equipment, mainly Army Engineers, to Santa Adela from Ergyng, to assist in the construction. Meanwhile a convoy of 8 supply ships escorted by 4 D-20 class Destroyers and the CA-11 class Cruiser Cú Chulainn has spent the past few days travelling to Santa Adela, arriving today.

The convoy was transporting Thalcelian arms and munitions to be supplied to the Santa Adelan military alongside Ergyngic personel, equipment and vehicles to staff the bases being constructed. The Ergyngic military had anticipated some attempt at interference by forces from Armusea, but none has been reported. Among the supplies transported to Santa Adela in the convoy it is suspected by some that at least a few of the Ergyngic 'Long Range Strategic Weapons' were being transported in the convoy.

The Armusean government further condemned the Santa Adelan Defence Treaty today after the arrival of the convoy, with Armusean Foreign Secretary Michael Johnson calling it a "Sinister alliance of evil commies". Ergyng's Foreign Minister, Emer O'Neil, dismissed this condemnation, stating that Armusea's opposition is "weak and worthless".
