Z-day Socialist Prepper Survival Guide

Z-Day 2021 is coming

Comrades! As the dust of nuclear fire settles, a new affliction has emerged. Beneath the ravaged and broken cities of the world, a new parasite that consumes the flesh of the living, turning them into mindless husks of rotting flesh, has emerged to threaten The Leftist Assembly and its people. This disease has begun to spread, and this new crisis mandates that we band together to join forces against this new and deadly threat. Unity in Diversity!

What is Z-Day?

Z-Day is an annual NS Halloween tradition that features a zombie apocalypse. Like with N-Day, participation is optional and everything is reset at the end of the event, but in the meantime, it’s a good way to participate in a fun mini-game with your regionmates.

How does it work?

At the beginning of the event, you will receive a new tab that will open on your main nation page, click on it, and the page, will be structured like a regular issue with three options. Kill, cure or join the zombie horde.
Now, the rate of infection is not just nation based, but region based, and so your decision here affects the score of everyone else. As a consequence, every region tends to have a region-wide strategy for what they’re going to do worked out. This means that, for TLA, everybody will be selecting the ‘Cure’ option.

Cure takes a while to develop, but once it does, you’ll be able to use cure missiles to shoot at other nations in the region, which will cure their zombie infestations as well. The goal for TLA is to have zero dead and zero infected throughout as much of the crisis as possible. As a result, it is vital to select the ‘Cure’ option as soon as possible when you get the choice.

Can I select ‘Kill’ or ‘Join?’

No, the regional policy is to cure. If you want to experience either ‘kill’ or ‘join’, you’ll have to join a different region planning to do either of those for the duration of the crisis. You are, of course, welcome to return when the event is done if that’s the case.

Wait, but if the strategy is regional based, does that mean regions can interfere with each other?

Yes. Horde regions, in particular will work to send puppets to attack regions doing the cure or kill paths. You have to be in the region to target it, so anybody who selects the Horde path in TLA will be banjected for the duration of the event, the various paths only work if everyone in the region is working to do the same thing. If you want to do kill or join the horde, you should do so elsewhere.
When the event begins, a special mechanic begins enabling regional leaders to close regional borders at no penalty for the duration of the event. We’ll be doing this at first and probably for the duration of the event in order to protect against Horde infiltrators. It is likely it will remain that way for the entire event. If you want to use puppets in TLA for the event, move them in before it starts, because we’re unlikely to be letting borders open before the thing ends.

Wait, this is all confusing, how will I know what to do?
Not to worry, we’ll be using the Unity Machine on Discord to be issuing special Z-Day commands, so make sure you’re familiar with that. Regional leaders will obviously be coordinating and giving orders on the RMB and Discord throughout the whole event.

Is it possible that I could be overrun by zombies anyway?

Yes, people will start dying in your nation or in the region as a whole once the numbers of zombies to people reaches a 4:1 ratio, so we’ll be trying to avoid that, since the idea is to have everyone alive and cured at the end of the event.

Can we help allies?

We may do that later once the event goes on and we’ve cleansed ourselves of the horde. If other regions in our sphere are having trouble and want our help, we may send out some assistance, stay tuned to the RMB and Discord commands of the Secretary and Minister of Apocalyptic Affairs as well as other GA members for further info if it comes to that.
