Thyer of Antiyard

The Thyer of Antiyard is the Republic of Antiyard's most prestigious and highest honour. It is awarded in recognition of exceptionally distinguished service of the highest order in any field of human endeavour. The recommendations for the Thyer is made by the Prime Minister, on behalf of the National Council of Ministers, to the President. The President may or may not choose to award the recommendees. The first was awarded to <redacted>. The original statute did not permit the posthumous awarding of the Thyer. In <redacted>, the statute was amended to permit awarding such service that has resulted in the death of the recipient. In <redacted>, the statute was again amended to permit awarding persons whose services resulted in recommendation but was not awarded. In <redacted>, the statute was finally amended to allow honouring any service during after <redacted>.
