World War Two's Aftermath, And How the World Went Bad

Early Stages of the apocalypse, circa 1949

Soviet ICBM readying for launch, circa 1949.
The Apocalypse, as one might call the aftermath of World War Two to be, which is appropriate, began back in 1949, when the Soviets still had their Dark Horseman nuclear facility, when Stalin heard of Allied Forces pushing back, he...went mad, he directly ordered his subordinate commander, Commander S7, to nuke every Allied Nations Member's capitals, and apparently, he was reluctant until threatened with him and his family's death, so he reluctantly fired ALL the missiles (well, technically, 1/3rd of Stalin's missile stock, but it was unknown at the time), and only two were shot down, unfortunately....the rest weren't, such was the case in Tokyo, where seven of them hit the same area, then in Washington, where nine Nukes hit the White House, and Africa was bombarded by 1,100 nukes, this resulted in a lot of small nuclear winters, which dissipated, but caused a lot of confusion within Allied High Command as they broke down, soon after that, the middle stages of the 'apocalypse' began.

The worst part about all of this? It happened just as the world was about to celebrate a New Year, ironically stating "A year closer to Soviet defeat!"

Allied Infighting, USSR in shambles, circa 1950-1952

Allied Nations M1A1 Medium Tanks turning on their Comrades, circa 1951.
Seven Hours after the worldwide nuclear weapons bombardment, Allied Nations High Command fully broke down, General Von Esling was killed when multiple Nukes hit Allied Nations Forces in Europe (ANFiE) Headquarters, killing everyone, except for the Allied Field Commander, soon afterward, Allied Units shot at each other in a panic, as missiles blanketed Europe's once-untainted land, there were reports of Infantry shooting their Commanding Officer, tanks destroying friendly units, AH-64 Longbows hitting the wrong target, and other insanities, soon after Allied Units called each other AWOL and started killing each other, and soon the war front was in shambles, barely a shell of itself...

Meanwhile in the USSR, when the public found about the total mass genocide of a large amount of the Allied Nations Forces in Europe, they revolted, Stalin tried to crush these revolts, and succeeded...at the cost of his Army causing even more protests, which in turn were crushed..and you get the idea, then soon after, Stalin kept doing this on and on...until someone snapped, he was killed in his office by his most 'loyal' commander, who just wanted this war to end so he can ensure the safety of his home...he just...snapped, and killed him..soon after he took over the Ukrainian Division of the USSR's Red Army..and that's where what was once the people's heaven...was destroyed by mass uprisings.

The Commander used his position to arrest and kill thousands of pro-Stalin supporters, and round up those he felt 'responsible' for the massacre of protesters, his actions inspired millions more in the USSR to do the same, soon after....they got hands on the remaining Nuclear Missiles that Stalin developed...all 20,000 of them, while not using them yet, it was still concerning.

Then...the first sparks of the Apocalypse began, it all happened one day...when a super-trigger-happy Hungarian officer launched a Nuclear Warhead at what the Kremlin used to be...

In the Allied Front, meanwhile, the AN turned against each other, though, out of all nations, only France managed to snap their nation out of mass murder and killings of friendlies, and Allied Forces in Galicia held off their rogue compatriots from England and Germany, and the French were forced into a box and held off Germany, Austria, England, and other rogues from the Allied Nations Forces, winning against them thanks to an experienced Field Commander.

RSFSR Turned into a Wasteland, Galicia and France last hopes for sane Allied Forces, circa 1953-56

Ukrainian AH-64 Longbows destroy Soviet T-80U Heavy Tank, circa 1954.
When the Hungarian Officer launched the Nuclear Missile at the Kremlin, that's when the RSFSR turned violent, the Russian division of what used to be the Red Army soon launched retaliatory strikes with their limited stock of Nuclear Weapons, the other ex-SSRs retaliated by firing 15,000 Nuclear Warheads at the RSFSR, reducing its population under a short period.

It was at this time, a famed Soviet commander reappeared, back then he was competing with the Ukrainian ex-Soviet Commander for Stalin's favor but lost, he relegated himself to logistics after his rival earned Stalin's praise, preferring to do minor supporting roles, but when the nuclear warheads hit Moscow, he sprung back up after the rest of the Red Army High Command was killed by the single nuclear missile courtesy of one angry Hungarian, he took up the mantle of the leader, and helped fend off the Ex-SSR forces, the most prominent battle of this time was Operation Uprise, when a small Red Army base destroyed an entire Ukrainian Division and half of the Hungarian Air Force, only being forced to retreat when the Hungarians started firing their nuclear warheads at the remaining RSFSR Forces, eventually he led them to an exodus into France.

Upon arriving, they were greeted with surprising news, France officially broke off from the Allied Nations, and so the Soviet forces volunteered to enlist in the French Army temporarily until they could find a way to evacuate the remaining civilians and soldiers out, the Allied Nations kept throwing their best units at the combined Soviet-French force, the appearance of the Soviets greatly surprised the entire Allied Task Force, but they still kept throwing everything they could, hoping to win, they didn't.

The Allied Nations resorted to using Nuclear Warheads to push the French-Soviet force back to the coastal line, where they'd take out the fleeing French-Soviet force with their superior Navy, unfortunately, this failed due to a Soviet Missile Submarine still loyal to the Red Army sacrificing itself to cripple the entire Allied Navy in a suicide attack at England, destroying a large number of Allied ships.

The French-Soviet forces then evacuated out of France, though left a large portion of loyal units who willingly 'sacrificed' themselves in La Havre, their fate was unknown for the time being.

The French-Soviet forces then evacuated into the last bastion of sane Allied Troops, Galicia, where it was reported that the local Galician Militia, the Galician Division of the Allied Nations, and even Civilians are fighting off the relentless Allied Nations assault, they then reached Pontevedra, landing in Vigo, then eventually linking up with the Galician Resistance, ex-Allied Troops, and Law Enforcement, they began to push Allied Nations forces out of Pontevedra, then they were planning to liberate Galicia itself...

...Had it not been for the Allied Nations' second trump card after the nuclear missile, the Chronosphere, a relic from the Second Great War that had been replicated when they found the original blueprints, they used it to strategically infiltrate French, Galician, and Russian supply lines and causing divides by building bases near heavily-used routes, then they even tried mounting an assault on the temporary HQ in Vigo, it failed.

At first, they only had to deal with one Chronosphere, however, the number soon inflated to five Chronospheres by 1956, a year after the French-Soviet forces evacuated from La Havre and France itself, they had to keep up with constant attacks and hit-and-runs that they sold off most of their unused structures to fortify the temporary HQ in Vigo, and the Allied Nations' abuse of the Chronosphere negated the territorial gains earned by the French-Soviet Forces, thus forcing them in the same situation they faced in France, cornered and about to die.

Then, the combined French-Galician-Soviet forces came up with an extremely...half-brained plan, to say it at best, they were planning to run away again, this time into enemy territory, they were to flee a group of Islands East from Ireland and West from England, where they would form a temporary nation until they could regroup.

Meanwhile, a new ideology was spreading through the joint Russo-Galician-French Forces, a variation of Communism of old, risen from the ashes of Stalin's failed ideology, it was called Eurocommunism, signifying its origins in Europe, it varies differently compared to Normal Communism, but it enticed everyone in the Alliance, then it came into contact with the Ex-Allied and Ex-Soviet Commanders...

Afterwards, they approved of the plan, by seizing a stock of transport craft left over from World War Two, they fled to the Islands while being pursued by Allied Nations Forces, eventually, they successfully landed.

Thus, this started the birth of the Bombardment Islands, then soon the UER.
