The Imperial Games

The Imperial Games are a major Empire-wide sports tournament featuring summer sports events. They are considered the region’s foremost sporting tournament and are held annually. They begin on 1st September every second year and end on 22nd September. Athletes compete representing their respective nation in a bid to secure medals. There are gold, silver and bronze medals on offer at the Games.

There are 20 disciplines in the Games that athletes compete in:

- Lawn Bowls
- Cricket
- Tennis
- Football
- Athletics(Incl. marathon running, sprints etc)
- Artistic gymnastics
- Rowing
- Aquatics(incl. Swimming, Diving etc)
- Triathlon
- Rugby
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Baseball
- Archery
- Rifle shooting
- Kayaking
- Equestrianism
- Karate
- Boxing

The nation that receives the most gold medals during the tournament receives the Platinum Trophy.

The Games are overseen by the Imperial Games Committee, which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Games are also broadcast by the Imperial Broadcasting Service. Live commentary can be heard on IBS News Radio, live action can be viewed on IBS Channel 1, IBS Channel 2, IBS Channel 3 and IBS News 24 and Games news and an up-to-date medal tally can be found on the IBS News website.

The proud history of the Imperial Games is celebrated in the Imperial Games Museum in Rydesville, the first city to ever host the Imperial Games.
