PCN North Nebraska - Strugure Broadcast 1

Good evening folks I’m Tom Baker with PCN broadcasting live from our studio in Pine Tree City. Tonight, we bring you a special news report on the situation between North Nebraska and the Republic of Strugure.

Ever since its days as a North Nebraskan colony, Strugure has been heavily linked, both culturally and economically, with North Nebraska. However, ever since the Strugurean Congress removed the former dictator of the nation, Mauricio Aguinaldo, with the new president, Salvador Miralles, relations between the two has, to put it lightly, gone downhill. Here’s Ryan Hilton with more information on the situation, Ryan.

Thanks Tom. Strugurean president Salvador Miralles has decried North Nebraska as the “root of all evil” in Torresia. The planned handover of Nieveporen (the parts of Antarctica that Strugure currently controls) from Strugure to North Nebraska, which was something the two nations had planned for sometime now, has been cancelled. In addition, with both nations now claiming sovereignty over the land, North Nebraska has also pressed their claim on the Drake Passage. In response, President Salvador Miralles has began offshore drilling, as the Drake Passage holds massive Natural Gas reserves. Acts of piracy in the Drake Passage has also increased, and North Nebraska has ordered all of its shipping ships going through the Drake Passage to have a naval escort, claiming the action is justified in the protection of its shipping routes. Strugure decried the action as a provocation. One thing is for certain, tensions are certainly rising down south. Tom, back to you.

President Jake Franklin has requested talks between the two nations commence over the disputed lands, but President Salvador Miralles has stated that any talks that do not end in Strugure receiving total control of the land will be ignored.
