The Intrusive Military State of The Dystopian Federacy is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by The Supreme Ruler Overlord To All with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, suspicion of poets, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 3.794 billion Citizens are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order and Administration are also considered important, while Welfare and International Aid are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dystopia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 75.3%.

The powerhouse Dystopian economy, worth 656 trillion Credits a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Retail. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 172,907 Credits, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 648,646 per year while the poor average 32,211, a ratio of 20.1 to 1.

Tumbleweeds are seen blowing through the nation's airspace, both criminals and civilians are DOA, foreigners often find themselves on the wrong end of a Dystopian RPG, and the state conscripts sociopathic orphan girls to train as professional assassins. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Dystopian Federacy's national animal is the Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.
