The Free Land of Blissland is a massive, cultured nation, remarkable for its prohibition of alcohol, multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, and digital currency. The compassionate, democratic population of 1.267 billion Blisslandians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, socially-minded government prioritizes Education, although Healthcare, Welfare, and Industry are also considered important, while Defense and Spirituality aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Blissberg. The average income tax rate is 68.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Blisslandian economy, worth 94.0 trillion forints a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Uranium Mining, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 74,180 forints, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Turning the other cheek is accompanied by a polite letter of complaint, the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event, praying before a battle is a court-martial offence, and citizens are allowed to rise or fall based on their own merits. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Blissland's national animal is the dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Blissland is ranked 17,256th in the world and 29th in Sophia for Nicest Citizens, with 24.29 average smiles per day.
